Threadless brought me on board for their new Artist Shops collection: giving designers the chance to build their own stores and sell products easily online. I'm currently building my collection, which will feature botanical and geometric-inspired crew necks, tees and tanks. Pretty sure I'm just going to be wearing my own clothing from here on out. Scroll to see the design process - from initial sketch through final produced sweatshirt!

The initial drawing begins. I probably started too small and going forward I'll be drawing with a larger nib size to control line resolution a bit more.

Scanned and added some color to the final design. Darkened my lines and added in shading to some leaves.

Mocked up the design. I am obsessed with sweatshirts and athleisure style, so this was the immediate first choice for apparel.

Oh hey, it's me! The test print arrived! As you can see, my grays printed white - so I'm going back into the file to add in more light areas so the flowers really pop.

I can't wait to debut the full collection. I'm most excited to create this dark blue design I've had in my mind with pops of color, and I have visions of a black sweatshirt with monotone florals dancing across it. Stay tuned!
