The Weekend section of the Los Angeles Times delighted readers with a dramatic botanical composition that celebrates the explosive growth of regional plant life during the spring and summer of 2023 in the Los Angeles area. Maggie's illustrations are a stunning visual representation of the colorful and diverse native plants that thrive in the region.

The botanicals featured in the illustration were carefully selected to showcase a wide range of colors and shapes.
