Alpro Caffè

Working alongside Elmwood London and Elmwood Leeds, I illustrated the all-over packaging artwork for Alpro Caffè, a new line of chilled, plant-based coffee drinks. Alpro helped shape the language of plant-based eating over 40 years ago, so for a packaging nerd, creating illustrations for their newest range felt like stepping into an iconic piece of food + bev history.

For this project, I developed a black and white vector linework system filled with leaves, flavor-note motifs, and hidden imagery woven throughout the composition. Alpro wanted each single-serve pack to feel premium and full of discovery, so I tucked in animals such as toucans, butterflies and other creatures native to the regions where the coffee beans are grown in Brazil, Peru and Ethiopia.
